Home Energy Score Assessment
As of January 1, 2018, a Home Energy Score is now required in the City of Portland prior to listing a home for sale. A Home Energy Score is a measurement of the energy efficiency of a home based on a noninvasive, onsite evaluation of the characteristics of the house. More than 70 pieces of information are collected about the home and are inputted into modeling software to calculate the Home Energy Score. A Home Energy Score is the best way of knowing what home energy improvements will be most effective at increasing energy efficiency in your home and saving you money in the long run.
Choosing our combination package of a pre-sale home inspection along with a Home Energy Score is a smart move. Our pre-sale home inspections will focus on the main deficiencies of the home allowing you to make the necessary improvements prior to listing your home for sale. Making repairs before listing will likely decrease the time it takes to sell your home and increase the profitability of the sale. That creates a win-win situation for everyone.
